Welcome to Pat Daugherty Jewelry Design.
I am passionate about creating pieces that are modern, wearable and distinctive by combining traditional and innovative methods and materials with bold shapes, textures and color. Incorporating stones and pearls with silver, gold and reactive metals helps create my ever-evolving eclectic design direction, with inspiration from architectural and geometric to rustic and organic. This interrelationship of materials and process offers unique design choices for the discerning individual as a reflection of their personal style through their accessories.
Fascination with pattern and texture quickly translated to fabricated jewelry. Introducing niobium and titanium has integrated vibrant color to my designs, and from there, the ideas exploded. Now, experimentation with chemical patinas, watercolor and pencil have added a painterly quality to many of my works, opening yet another door to merge color and metal in a unique way.
Originally a fine arts and crafts instructor, I continue to instruct and inspire students in precious and non precious metals in Manhattan where I presently reside. My work has been exhibited in juried shows, and is on display in various galleries in the US.
