Welcome to Pat Daugherty Jewelry Design.
I am passionate about creating pieces that are modern, wearable and distinctive by combining traditional and
innovative methods and materials with bold shapes, textures and color. The addition of stones and pearls with silver, gold and reactive metals creates my ever-evolving eclectic design direction, with inspiration from architectural and geometric to rustic and organic. This connection of materials and techniques offers a personal unique design choice for the discerning individual, reflecting their personal style through their accessories.
My fascination with surface patterns and textures quickly translated to fabricated jewelry and metalwork. Introducing niobium and titanium has led to the integration of vibrant color to my designs, and from there, the ideas exploded. Now, experimentation with chemical patinas has added a painterly quality to many of my designs, opening yet another door to merge color and metal in a unique way.
Originally a fine arts and crafts instructor, I continue to instruct and inspire students in precious and non precious metals in Manhattan.
My work has been exhibited in juried shows, and is on
display in various galleries in the US. Born in Ohio, I am presently residing and creating in New York City.
